Job Description:

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an immediate opening for a Project Environmental Scientist/Engineer/Geologist to assist in the management and growth of our environmental practice in Irvine, California.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the management and growth of our environmental practice
  • Conduct and manage Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations
  • Conduct soil and groundwater remediation
  • Manage project scheduling
  • Mentor staff
  • Control budget
  • Meet and interact with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate and participate in and oversee staff field activities
  • Log borings, trenches and cores
  • Evaluate geologic and hydrogeological conditions
  • Sample soil, soil gas, and groundwater
  • Prepare environmental proposals and reports
  • Provide technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists, and field technicians

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
  • Appropriate related professional registration/certification (e.g., California Professional Geologist or Civil Engineer) preferred
  • OSHA HAZWOPER trained and licensed professional geologist/engineer
  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting
  • Local experience and familiarity with the geologic and engineering practice
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Team player
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Experience with construction activities is also desired

  • An advance degree is a plus
