Job Description

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined consulting firm providing a broad suite of environmental and engineering services to oil companies, mining operations, agricultural companies, municipalities, private industries, governmental agencies, public and private utilities, and developers. Our experienced and highly qualified staff of engineers, geologists, environmental assessors, scientists, and industrial hygienists brings a responsive team-oriented approach to project management. Broadbent is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer with at least two years of experience in environmental engineering and a PE License preferred. The successful candidate will design water and wastewater systems for small commercial and municipal systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to develop grading, spill prevention and control plans, storm water pollution prevention, chemical accident prevention programs, fire protection, environmental assessments, water rights surveying and mining plans. Position will be located at our Fort Collins, CO office.

Requirements

  • Colorado PE preferred or ability to secure within 1-2 years
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Previous environmental experience (at least two years)
  • Properly manage multiple projects to stay within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with regulatory entities and Broadbent leadership
  • Acts as client liaison for matters related to project performance and compliance with regulator direction
  • Preparation and review of permit language, work plans, reports, design drawings, shop drawings, and equipment submittals
  • Quickly learn new jurisdiction regulation schemes and apply to applicable projects
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
