Job Description

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Project Environmental Engineer/Geologist to join our environmental branch in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are currently seeking a professional to manage due diligence - Phase 1, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, groundwater sampling, field oversight and asbestos/lead paint surveys.

Job Responsibility

  • independently manage projects and will serve as project manager helping to train and mentor junior level staff
  • assist in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to evaluate, plan, and permit projects
  • assist with development of proposals
  • attend on-and off-site client meetings, effectively communicating with clients and regulators
  • provide technical guidance and/or oversee work performed by lower-level staff
  • implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test, and collect data
  • evaluate laboratory and field data and assemble in written reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field such as environmental or civil engineering or geology is preferred
  • Current 40Hour OSHA HAZWOPER is required
  • Nevada Certified Environmental Manager with 5+ years of experience in the environmental field with a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and be a team player with strong communication skills and work ethic

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Nevada regulatory programs
  • Professional certifications for California, Utah, and/or Arizona
