This is an excellent opportunity if you have a strong senior engineering background and project planning experience within defence.
Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership and management of the Project Engineering team
Ensure that the engineering department achieves the technical outcomes required on approved engineering projects
Establish, manage and maintain systems to support the planning of and resource allocation to, approved technical projects
For all approved engineering projects, ensure Project Engineers are allocated, plans developed and agreed, and progress is monitored and remediated where necessary
Present and participate in engineering project internal and external status reviews
Manage certain critical and complex engineering projects as required
Maintain alignment with Project Management Office regarding selection and application of tools and techniques for planning
Requirements:
NV1 clearance is desirable
Bachelor of Engineering Degree within an Engineering Discipline
Currently hold or ability to obtain a Chartered Professional Engineering Status
Post Graduate qualifications in Systems Engineering is desirable
10 years or more experience practicing in a Senior Engineering position
Knowledge and understanding of the Product Life Cycle
Experience and track record in management of engineers in multi-disciplinary teams
Experience of the Australian Defence technical regulation frameworks and standards
Proven experience in the project/program execution within the ASDEFCON framework
Candidates must be Australian Citizens or have Permanent Working Rights and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance

Post Graduate qualifications in Systems Engineering is desirable
