The Project Engineer is responsible for complete life cycle of one/ multiple product line. He will lead and oversee the successful delivery of engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to product requirements in terms of quality, cost, and reliability. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic planning capabilities to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. This role involves resolving team disputes to ensure timely delivery, analyzing data of reports, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and collaborating across departments for product success.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure timely and successful delivery of projects aligned with product specifications and organizational goals
Oversee engineering lifecycle from concept through testing and validation, mitigating risks to meet product launch schedules
Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain to integrate designs seamlessly into production processes
Maintain strict compliance with quality standards, cost targets, and reliability benchmarks
Ensure that the released designs effectively address and improve existing defects in both new and current projects within approved budget
Develop and manage project budgets, including cost forecasting, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies to stay within financial targets
Track expenses using ERP systems and approve vendor contracts to optimize costs without compromising quality
Implement quality assurance protocols, including FMEA and reliability testing, to exceed industry standards for equipment durability
Monitor defect rates and lead root-cause analyses to enhance product reliability in field conditions
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through audits and continuous improvement programs
Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
Facilitate collaboration between R&D, Brands, and Manufacturing to align technical solutions with market needs
Coordinate with global team based on project requirement
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in Product Development
Minimum 10 years of experience on Compact Tractors for India, Europe and USA
Worked in a cross functional environment
Minimum: Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
