Job Description

Responsible for design & detailing of Civil & Structural works for the PTD IC, SS projects (11kV to 765kV) & ancillary civil related works for UPD projects. Responsible to cater to needs of all SS teams of Domestic & International. Managing Engineering activities from pre-bid engineering to detail engineering & finish of with as built drawings. The PEM shall manage the entire design for a project or a set of smaller projects including co-ordination with of other disciplines viz., Electrical, MEP and others (BU). PEM shall lead a team of Lead Engineers, Design Engineers and draftspersons to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering

Job Responsibility

  • Must be capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time
  • Prepare, implement and monitor Engineering Plan aligned with the project
  • Facilitate the Engineering solutions or inputs for the bidding purpose
  • Lead a team having Design Leads, Design Engineers and Draughts person
  • Review and ensure optimum design before submission to client including review of design by external consultant where applicable
  • Ensure quantity and cost control & optimization of civil & structural quantities
  • Co-ordinate with the Engineering team at project location and ensure a smooth work execution between the teams at multiple locations
  • Interact with project execution team for resolving the problem
  • Interact with clients, get approvals, getting work done from team, Resource allocation, Schedule change handling
  • Seminars & Paper presentation contribution, Solution for Design (Structural & Foundations)
  • Coordination with Site Team and Client to meet the requirements of design and drawings
  • Checking BOQ and material with respect to previous projects
  • Review of Preparation of DBR scope of work for Project Engineering
  • Ensure design drawings are done based on relevant standards and codes on general engineering practices without compromising on quality
  • Review of critical issues as required by Project team
  • Risk analysis of take clear decisions after analysing the risk and issuing manufacturing clearance to be participated by Head of engineering
  • Formally monthly review with project heads on critical issues & track of project to be done

Requirements

  • B. Tech. in Civil / M. Tech. in Structural Engineering / Geotech Engineering / Environmental Engineering
  • Experience: 12-18 years (Preferable experience with exposure in civil & structural aspects of Substation / Power Distribution Projects – Power transmission industry, oil and Gas, Fertilizers, Construction etc in the field of Design and Engineering)
  • Desirable Experience of 2-3 years as Lead in the projects
