The Project: The project includes an 8-story residential building with a partial wrap of a 9-story parking structure, totaling over 1M sf of student housing. The new build will consist of 404 units and 1,546 bedrooms. The property will feature a rooftop pool, spa, fitness center, and basketball court as amenities. The first phase of the project broke ground in February 2026 with phase one completing in summer of 2028 and second phase completing in summer of 2029. As a Project Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in Estimating, Field Operations, Safety, and Project Management. Our program is designed to ensure engineers are exposed to various aspects of construction, with the goal of developing robust construction knowledge, financial literacy, safety, quality, and becoming well-rounded in all aspects of the construction industry.
Job Responsibility:
Perform take-offs, pricing, and bid package preparation
Assist with bidder communications and bid-day activities
Conduct constructability and spec reviews
Prepare and track subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
Manage RFIs, change documents, and project schedules
Oversee closeout activities, including punch lists and submittals
Support the Superintendent with scheduling, material orders, and tracking productivity
Manage RFIs, punch lists, and addenda updates
Assist with project closeout
Conduct routine safety audits and jobsite planning
Gain insight from safety supervisors and attend OSHA training
Requirements:
Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, interpersonal, and nonverbal communication
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
A proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to learning and professional growth
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
Internship, co-op experience, or 2+ years of relevant industry experience in project management, field engineering, or estimating
Nice to have:
Exposure to construction project management, scheduling, cost management, and subcontractor coordination is preferred
Familiarity with industry best practices, construction methods, safety regulations, and quality control measures
