Job Description:

4-month contract position with potential for extension. Work on a critical infrastructure project with state-wide environmental and operational impact. Be part of a technically complex and fast-moving project with real engineering challenges. This project involves expansion of the existing water treatment capacity, structural improvement works, coordination of upgrades, and the implementation of additional brine treatment systems to reduce environmental impact.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee day-to-day site engineering activities relating to the expansion and upgrade works
Support the Project Manager with contractor coordination, progress tracking, and issue resolution
Ensure all construction and installation works are delivered to scope, schedule, and compliance standards
Assist in reviewing engineering designs and documentation for constructability and quality
Monitor project milestones and report on progress, risks, and site performance
Maintain strong communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years experience on water/waste-water treatment plant projects or heavy infrastructure sites
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, or Civil)
Strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes, ideally in brownfield environments
Excellent contractor and stakeholder management skills
A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to site safety and quality
Excellent report writing, budgeting, and project cost estimation skills
Australian citizenship or Permant Resident is mandatory
