Job Description:

As a Project Engineer at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be responsible for delivering capital, operational improvement, and major maintenance projects within your area of responsibility. You will manage projects through the full lifecycle, from development and scoping to execution and commissioning, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, and within budget. Key deliverables include monitoring and coordinating capital projects during execution, facilitating ongoing capital project development, and developing a strong understanding of the operational aspects of the cane supply system to support improved performance, reliability, and long-term asset capability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and coordinate capital projects during execution, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets are met
  • Liaise daily with operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers to plan works and minimise production impacts
  • Review technical designs, scopes of work, and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with engineering standards and site requirements
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, and progress reporting, escalating risks or variances as required
  • Develop and refine future capital project scopes while building a strong understanding of the cane supply system to support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineer with experience in roadworks, bridge construction, or similar projects
  • Strong communicator who adapts to changing priorities and shifting workloads
  • Skilled at analysing operational and financial data to identify improvements
  • Proficient in project management tools with excellent organisational skills
