Lead full lifecycle projects from inception to close out. Deliver major surface and underground infrastructure for a 30+ year mine. This is a hands on role in a lean, high-performing team where a can do attitude and practical approach are essential. You will coordinate consultants and contractors, manage costs, and ensure successful delivery of large scale capital works. It is a rare opportunity to be part of a long term project.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate planning, engineering, procurement, construction and contractor management for site projects
Oversee daily operations to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to avoid delays
Apply engineering drawings and specifications into construction activities
Lead project meetings and provide clear progress updates
Implement quality assurance, environmental, and safety standards on site
Maintain accurate records and document control of engineering drawings, standards, site activities, variations, and reports
Support the Senior Project Manager with forecasting, procurement, and cost tracking
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Mining, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
Wealth of experience in mining or heavy industry project delivery
Proficient with project management software including Project / Primavera, Microsoft Excel and procurement systems (SAP desirable)
Strong ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and consultants to achieve outcomes
Solid understanding of engineering standards, codes, and construction methodologies
Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical ability
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
