Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer with expertise in the Siemens PLC and BMW GSC Standard to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PLC, HMI, Robot program development, and commissioning using BMW GSC Standard, with a strong focus on Siemens PLC Hardware & Software Package.

Job Responsibility:

  • Industrial Automation & Control Engineering requirements, Including Electrical & Control Detail Engineering
  • PLC, HMI & SCADA Programming/ software Development
  • Complete Understanding of Automotive Engine Assembly and Bodyshop Controls including Welding, Material Handling, and other BIW processes
  • Understanding on Robot Controls and Linking all Equipment with Robots for Complete Line Functions
  • Worked with System Integrators or involved with Installation and Commissioning of Automotive Lines
  • Debugging Hardware & Software on Site
  • Design And Selection of Control System (PLC, HMI And SCADA)
  • Control System Architecture
  • Design Basis and Specification
  • Input / Output List, Signal Exchange List / Communication List
  • Factory Acceptance Test Procedure and Site Acceptance Test Procedure
  • Intrinsic Safety Calculation
  • Programming, HMI Graphics Screens, Panel GA Drawing and Panel Wiring Diagram
  • Work with All Makes of PLCs and HMIs Like Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi etc.
  • Onsite Experience in Debugging and Commissioning of Control Systems
  • PLC, HMI Software Programming, Hardware Design, Debugging
  • Coordinate with Inter Team and reporting
  • Co-ordinate with Customer for Project delivery and Quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/E&TC/Instrumentation/I&C/Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation with a focus on Siemens Automation products
  • Proficiency in programming S7 series PLCs, particularly S7-300/S7-400/S7-1200/S7-1500 controllers
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, FBD, SCL)
  • Experience with network configurations and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking and cybersecurity practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required

Nice to have:

  • Programming in Allen Bradley Control Logix, Guard Logix, Compact Logix
  • Professional certifications such as Siemens Certified Engineer or direct/indirect experience by working with on BMW Projects
  • Experience with other automation platforms systems
  • Knowledge of design and development in process domains such as F&B, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Power, Manufacturing sectors
  • Exposure to Paint Shop / Assembly / Power Train and other Manufacturing areas
