Job Description:

Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor looking for an entry level Project Engineer to support environmental remediation projects around the country. Some of our clients include the US Army Corps of Engineers and US EPA. Travel will be required.

Job Responsibility:

Report daily construction activities
Development of daily excavation drawings via AutoCAD
Maintain daily material delivery tracking and various construction production logs
Preparation of written work plans
Quality control of ongoing construction work in accordance with the project construction drawings and specifications
Coordination of site deliveries with field personnel
Procurement of materials, equipment rentals and professional services
Project scheduling
Project accounting and cost tracking

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or applicable science degree from an accredited college/university
0 to 5 years previous construction or engineering/consulting industry experience supporting construction
Intermediate to proficient knowledge of AutoCAD software
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Well-organized individual with good communication skills

Nice to have:

Knowledge or prior use of MS Project a plus
General knowledge of OSHA safety regulations a plus
I.T. certification preferred
Prior experience in environmental dredging and GPS technology preferred
Generalized heavy civil/earthwork construction experience preferred
