Job Description:

Support manufacturing operations with technical innovation and leadership to improve / modify new and existing systems in the facility through the implementation of capital projects. In alignment with Act 593(B), this position is considered safety sensitive as this employee ensures that the process equipment, material of construction, and installation conform to USDA, FDA, state and local regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage assigned projects from conception through installation
  • Supports the identification and planning of manufacturing process, utility, and facility improvements
  • Perform analysis (financial/operational) to indicate the feasibility of projects and process change
  • Research and submit Capital Project requests, selects equipment, conducts contractor pre-qualifications, award bids, budgets and coordinates work with suppliers and contractors
  • Ensure that the process equipment, material of construction and installation conform to USDA, FDA, State and Local regulatory standards
  • Provide technical support to Factory operations
  • Develop and lead project teams to improve process safety, quality, performance and reliability
  • Manage data collection and feedback process for projects
  • Support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence and Total Performance Management

Requirements:

  • Three + years of experience in related manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing and supporting manufacturing methods driving continuous improvement
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field, or 3 years work experience in the field
  • Employee must support and comply with all Nestlé programs and policies, including, affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, NCE, TPM, GMP's and Safety Policies
  • Ability to work off-hours and weekends/holidays as needed
  • Employee must meet all requirements related to NMS and ISO standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety
