Job Description:

Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor looking for a Project Engineer with over three years of experience preferred to support a large and complex environmental remediation project in Jacksonville, Florida. This project will be a long-term project estimated at a duration of 1-2 years. Scope includes mobilization and set up of support infrastructure including installation of an environmental Open Cell Sheet Pile (OCSP) bulkhead, in-situ soil stabilization (ISS), dredging, dewatering, and placement of sediment within placement cells; backfill within the waterway; installation of a low permeability geosynthetic cap and associated drainage features, installation of a permanent groundwater pump and treatment system.

Job Responsibility:

Report daily construction activities
Development of daily excavation drawings via AutoCAD
Maintain daily material delivery tracking and various construction production logs
Preparation of written work plans
Quality control of ongoing construction work
Coordination of site deliveries with field personnel
Procurement of materials, equipment rentals and professional services
Project scheduling
Project accounting and cost tracking

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or applicable science degree from an accredited college/university
0 to 5 years previous construction or engineering/consulting industry experience supporting construction
Intermediate to proficient knowledge of AutoCAD software
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Good communication skills
Well-organized individual

Nice to have:

Knowledge or prior use of MS Project a plus
General knowledge of OSHA safety regulations a plus
I.T. certification preferred
Prior experience in environmental dredging, soil mixing, and GPS technology preferred
Generalized heavy civil/earthwork construction experience preferred
