This position is responsible for completing a variety of professional engineering assignments in the areas of transportation design, traffic operations, utilities and site development.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the preparation of designs for roadway and civil projects including roadway, trail, sidewalk, erosion control, storm drainage systems (including natural drainage practices), water transmission systems, sewers, earthwork, ADA ramps, pavement overlays, traffic signal systems, illumination, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), channelization, signing, traffic control and maintenance of traffic
Preparation of project plans, specification, reports, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
Help to resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project
Collaborate with other team members, professionals and disciplines across multiple offices
The ability to work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Prepare plans and roadway modeling using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads
Perform project administrative duties including maintaining records and preparing reports and correspondence
Perform effective technical writing and correspondence
Assist Project Managers in a variety of project administrative duties. Such as maintaining records and preparing reports and correspondence related to the work
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Engineering in Training (EIT) certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
0 – 2 years of experience in Traffic Engineering or Transportation design
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads preferred
Knowledge BlueBeam Revu Preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Nice to have:
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads
