Job Responsibility:
Planning, Scheduling & Resource plan Control: Develop and maintain complex, resource‑loaded schedules in Microsoft Project
perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks
Build and manage work breakdown structures (WBS), resource plan plans, and integrated schedules using advanced MS Project capabilities
Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals, plans, and customer requirements
collaborate with management to establish scope
Determine project responsibilities by identifying phases and elements
assign personnel
review contractor bids
Establish project specifications by studying product design, performance standards, and customer needs
Assist Project Managers with development of project plans by reviewing design, specifications, and schedule changes
recommend corrective actions
Approve expenditures and administer subcontracts
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Ensure project scope, schedule, and resource plan remain well defined and maintained
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate technical status, risks, and decisions clearly and professionally
Support business development through proposal writing, technical scope definition, and review of resource plan/schedule inputs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with 8 or more years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 or more years of experience
Advanced experience/proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent
Experience developing space systems and/or space systems components from concept through verification and production
Experience defining technical work plans, estimating resources, and leading engineering activities
Background working directly with customers to manage expectations, technical scope, and deliverables
Previous work experience supporting high‑reliability, mission‑critical aerospace or space programs
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Some travel required
Nice to have:
Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Project, including resource loading, dependency management, schedule health assessments, and critical path analysis
Experience translating system architectures into requirements and verification plans
Understanding of risk management and risk‑based decision‑making
Experience managing technical baselines and product configurations
Experience preparing and presenting at technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.)
Advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in engineering or engineering management
