As a member of the Blind River Maintenance and Technical Services team, you will report to the Coordinator, Engineering Projects. You will be responsible for the quality execution of projects to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved. Projects are in various stages, ranging from concept/framing through to implementation. We are looking for a resilient and results driven project manager who thrives in complex environments. The successful candidate will cut through bureaucracy, extract clarity where information is fragmented, and confidently manage difficult relationships to keep projects moving forward. They will take full ownership of delivery across cost, schedule, scope, quality, and HSE requirements, demonstrating the ability to see initiatives through to completion despite changing priorities and with minimal oversight.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the quality execution of projects to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved
Manage a focused portfolio of reliability improvement projects, ensuring alignment with program goals and delivering measurable improvements in asset performance, risk reduction, and maintenance strategy
Identifying, prioritizing, and executing reliability-driven initiatives in collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering stakeholders
Undertake nonroutine maintenance (NRM) projects as required including typical engineering and execution tasks such as equipment selection, work planning, commissioning, drawing revisions, and maintenance plan development, all in compliance with Cameco’s design control and Management of Change (MoC) processes
Requirements:
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Electrical)
Minimum of five years of progressive industrial engineering experience with several years focussed on projects/reliability/process management
P.Eng Designation (PEO required)
AutoCAD proficiency required. Should be able to create / edit drawings (P&IDs, Single Line Electrical)
Experience in a processing/refining environment is required
Nice to have:
PMP preferred
Familiarity with ASME & ASTM codes for piping / pressure vessels is advantageous
