Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Completions Project Engineer to join a desalination construction project working a 2:1 roster and playing a pivotal role in bringing a critial project to completion. You’ll be at the forefront of managing close-out schedules, compiling critical handover documentation, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met—all while delivering a defect-free, on-budget project that meets contractual requirements. Working closely with expert teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth client handover, you will have a strong focus on risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the completion and close-out schedule, ensuring all works are completed within contractual timeframes.
  • Compile and manage handover documentation progressively, ensuring timely completion within contractual requirements.
  • Ensure all works are defect-free and meet the required quality standards.
  • Facilitate the successful handover of the completed project to the client.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient completion of the project.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to project completion.
  • Monitor and manage project completion costs, ensuring adherence to the budget.
  • Contribute to project reviews and lessons learned to identify areas for improvement in future projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in completions management, within the mineral processing construction projects: gold project experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control procedures, and handover documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
