Job Description:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for assessing and scoping enabling, and remediation works, will provide technical review, carry out technical reporting and undertake on-site technical assessment including quality assurance and safety management. They will work in conjunction with the Project Manager and other Remediation Division team members to support project delivery on-site. You will be degree educated, affiliated to appropriate industry bodies and will have fulfilled a similar role previously on brownfield sites and have knowledge of the planning and execution of geoenvironmental engineering, remediation and enabling works.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience working in geoenvironmental/ remediation
  • WAMITAB qualification
  • Have a solid understanding of waste legislation
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with internal and external contacts
  • Good written skills for technical report writing
  • Knowledge of industry technical developments and guidelines
  • Knowledge of environmental and health & safety legislation, in particular, CDM 2015
  • Able to work in a small but often nationally dispersed team
  • Flexible approach to work and location
  • Able to use initiative and self-manage time and tasks
  • Able to motivate and drive delivery of remediation works utilising own staff and contractors
  • Good knowledge of brownfield land assessment and remediation
  • Ability to assist with budget estimation for remediation works
  • A clear understanding of the requirements of ground engineering and construction legal guidelines
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Full driving license
