We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the full lifecycle delivery of commercial & industrial (C&I) renewable energy projects, including solar PV, BESS, and EV charging infrastructure. This role bridges engineering, project management, and execution, covering everything from early-stage planning and design through to grid connection, construction, and commissioning.
Job Responsibility:
Support the end-to-end project lifecycle: feasibility, design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
Develop and review electrical designs (low/medium voltage systems, grid connection concepts, single-line diagrams)
Coordinate grid connection applications and liaise with utilities, TSOs/DSOs
Assist with technical due diligence, site assessments, and feasibility studies
Manage and coordinate external engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and suppliers
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines
identify and mitigate risks
Support procurement processes, including technical specifications and supplier evaluation
Oversee construction and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
Ensure adherence to German regulations, grid codes, and permitting requirements
Provide technical support across internal teams (development, asset management, operations)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
3–5 years of professional experience in renewable energy, power systems, or infrastructure projects
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: solar PV, BESS, EV charging infrastructure
Solid understanding of grid connection processes and electrical systems (LV/MV)
Working knowledge of German grid connection standards such as VDE-AR-N 4105 and VDE-AR-N 4110
Familiarity with VDE regulations and relevant IEC/DIN standards for PV, BESS, and EV charging systems
Experience supporting construction and commissioning phases is highly desirable
Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
