Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile project engineer looking to be involved in the management of the high value cabin interior projects in the company by joining the Aircraft Programmes Team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing end to end Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) supply of high value cabin interior or IFEC products. The role works in a dynamic environment coordinating all activities to successfully manage our cabin BFE products through to delivery. You will manage multiple cabin BFE suppliers at the same time liaising with and instructing other departments across the wider airline to ensure BFE products are delivered on-time and to specification. You will be required to liaise extensively with our chosen suppliers and other external third-party providers. This role will require significant supplier management skills and experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure BFE products are delivered on time, considering risks and opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with other departments within Virgin Atlantic
  • Understand and interpret commercial contracts using knowledge gained within the aviation industry
  • Travel may be required to support key project deliverables

Requirements

  • Previous experience of Supply Chain, Part 145, Part CAMO and Part 21 environments
  • Hunger for problem solving and implementing process improvements for the delivery of BFE
  • Thirst to be involved in complex and high value BFE products
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, and a high performer
