Job Description

The Project Development Support Officer plays a pivotal role within Amentum’s Business Operations department, headquartered in Alice Springs. Reporting to the Business Process Manager, this position is a key contributor in the Project Development Office to provide administrative support to the Proposals and leadership teams. This role will be responsible for managing purchase requisitions (PRs), provide administrative support for meetings, proposal requests, reporting, document control and heavily supporting the lifecycle of proposals, costings and scheduling execution. This position ensures seamless project execution by providing insights, comprehensive reporting, administrative and proposals coordination. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a qualification in business or project management. Advanced computer literacy, ability to communicate well with stakeholders and flawless time management and attention to detail is essential.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinating purchase requisitions (PRs) and proposal requests
  • Assist in proposals, costings and scheduling planning, execution and reporting
  • Act as a key contact for internal stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Development Office leadership team
  • Coordinate and raise purchase requisitions (PRs) for all project related works
  • Assist with proposal requests and uploading information to site systems and programs
  • Assist with Project Development administrative duties to support the continuous improvement of the project development department. This includes, yet not limited to managing schedules, document control, coordinate meetings, and track action items for project leadership
  • Facilitate communication between teams ensuring clarity in project expectations. This includes drafting professional correspondence, presentations, and stakeholder updates
  • Manage multiple task simultaneously and maintain real-time development status of all active projects
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills
  • Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliance at the site and within the workplace
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested

Requirements

  • Proficiency in filing systems, document management, and version control
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • MS Office suite of tools with specifics to MS Excel
