As a Project Development Manager, you will lead Primero Americas’ efforts in identifying and securing new business opportunities, including target identification, lead generation, and tendering activities. You will play a key role in building and maintaining client relationships, negotiating contracts, and supporting the development of a strong project pipeline. You will also contribute to business strategy through market insights, client feedback, and competitive awareness, while supporting marketing initiatives and CRM adoption. From time to time, you may also support ongoing studies and projects in areas such as procurement, study management, or engineering. The role operates under a hybrid work model, combining regular in-office presence with remote work and occasional in-person client meetings. The Project Development Manager reports directly to the General Manager – Operations.
Job Responsibility:
Provide overall leadership and direction for Primero operations, including office and project management
Drive operational excellence and alignment with Primero’s global standards
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (including ITAR and export controls, where applicable)
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with Primero’s growth strategy
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
Represent Primero in the North American market and support brand visibility
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and support the securing of new mandates
Contribute to strategic planning through market insights, client feedback, and competitive awareness
Monitor key performance indicators and support achievement of business objectives
Lead, mentor, and develop team members in a collaborative, high-performance environment
Support recruitment, retention, and performance management in partnership with HR

Requirements:
10–15 years of experience in business development, engineering, project management, and leadership roles
Experience in the mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial EPC/EPCM sector
Strong understanding of environmental, compliance, and regulatory requirements in North America
Solid commercial acumen, including cost control, budgeting, and P&L management
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary teams
Strong client relationship skills and an established industry network
Demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale projects (from studies through execution and commissioning)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively with clients and stakeholders
