The Project Development Analyst is an exciting early‑career role at the forefront of the utility‑scale renewable energy industry, supporting the development of wind, solar, and battery storage projects across their full lifecycle. This fast‑paced, collaborative position is embedded within project teams and works closely with experienced development, engineering, legal, finance, and real estate professionals. Analysts support projects from early‑stage land acquisition and stakeholder engagement through permitting, interconnection, and preparation for construction. Job Responsibility:
Support the development of large-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects from early-stage development through permitting and into construction
Advance projects through development stage-gates, tracking milestones, risks, and deliverables across an active project portfolio
Represent the Company in the field by working with project teams, landowners, and external stakeholders
Support the creation, negotiation, amendment, and administration of land agreements, including options, leases, amendments, purchases, easements and crossing agreements
Process and track land acquisition documents, payments, and recordkeeping in internal systems
Coordinate community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
Assist with the selection, contracting, and management of external consultants, including land agents, permitting consultants, and community engagement contractors
Create and compile documentation, commission studies, and support efforts to obtain project permits
Create, update, and maintain project GIS maps, databases, schedules, and trackers
Support efforts to secure maintain compliance with transmission and interconnection agreements with utilities and transmission providers
Coordinate inputs across internal teams to price projects for commercial offtake
Support the preparation of bids and compliance with contracts with power purchasers, including utilities and commercial & industrial customers
Participate in project meetings, capturing notes, action items, and follow-ups
Conduct land, market, regulatory, and project-specific research to inform decisions
Support internal reporting, portfolio tracking, and management updates
Perform additional duties as required to support successful project execution and team objectives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
0 – 2 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel)
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to work productively with limited supervision
Strong interest in environmental issues and renewable energy
Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
