Job Description

Our client is seeking a Project Destination Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a confidential initiative within their Consumer Lending division (Auto & Card). This role requires deep expertise in travel‑related programs, credit card travel rewards, and regulatory compliance. The SME will serve as a key advisor to cross‑functional teams and ensure alignment with business, operational, and compliance standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the primary SME for a confidential project within the credit card and travel rewards space
  • Provide expert guidance on business requirements, program structure, and compliance considerations for travel rewards programs
  • Support regulatory, risk, and background check processes tied to travel‑related initiatives
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (operations, compliance, product, legal, etc.) to ensure program alignment and execution
  • Offer strategic insights to help shape program design, controls, and customer experience

Requirements

  • Strong background in travel programs and/or travel‑related financial services
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, risk controls, and background check processes
  • Deep knowledge of credit card travel rewards programs, including business rules, eligibility, and operational requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working on confidential, high‑visibility initiatives

  • Maintains inventory levels and tracking for consolidation cross dock facilities and provides highly analytical weekly and monthly reporting
  • Assists carriers or KeHE fleet partners in resolving issues regarding loading, pickup appointments and communicates to appropriate parties as necessary
  • Take part in account and customer related programs and special projects to drive efficiency and continues improvement efforts
  • Awareness of and ability to identify optimal freight solutions to achieve and surpass desired results, in driving transportation metrics such as payload utilization, late PO impact, cost per pound, on-time performance and saving initiatives
  • Responsible for achievement of period, quarterly and annual transportation goals by planning the transportation of products from suppliers to the end distribution center using the most cost-effective methods
  • Required to be highly analytical to generate daily/weekly/period reports as required from the TMS, ERP, Power BI and any other KeHE systems to facilitate revenue, cost, savings based continuous improvement
  • Consults with project team members and customer stakeholders to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current reporting capabilities, and challenges related to the business functions
