We’re the team behind the UK’s telecom networks—building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected! From fibre installs to 5G rollouts, we make it happen with innovation, speed, and a smile. If you love a challenge and want to be part of something big, Comex 2000 is the place to be. We are looking for a Project Delivery Manager who can take a project plan and turn it into a high-performing reality. This isn’t just a "desk job"—it’s a role for a hands-on leader who can coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, navigate the complexities of civils and telecom environments, and ensure every milestone is met safely and compliantly. If you have a knack for solving problems under pressure and a passion for developing people, we want to hear from you. As our Project Delivery Manager, you will hold the reins of end-to-end project management. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our works are planned, resourced, and executed to the highest standards. You are the vital link that ensures our field operations hit their KPIs while maintaining a relentless focus on SSHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality).
Job Responsibility:
Operational Leadership: Lead daily field operations, translating big-picture objectives into actionable plans. You’ll manage resources, equipment, and schedules to meet delivery demands
Project Oversight: Own your assigned projects from start to finish. You’ll track progress against milestones, manage budgets, and ensure first-time client sign-offs
SSHEQ & Compliance: Act as a role model for safety. You’ll ensure all works comply with statutory obligations, NRSWA, and PIA guidelines, proactively managing risks before they become issues
Stakeholder & Client Management: Build "trusted advisor" relationships with clients. You’ll be the point of contact for progress reporting, issue resolution, and professional communication
People Development: Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team. You’ll set performance goals, foster a collaborative culture, and lead recruitment and personal development initiatives
Continuous Improvement: Don't just follow the process—improve it. You’ll use data and field insights to reduce rework and boost efficiency
Requirements:
Natural Leadership: Proven ability to engage, coach, and manage field-based teams
Organisational Excellence: The ability to juggle multiple priorities and resources without dropping the ball
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint) and industry-specific reporting platforms
Problem Solving: A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Telecoms & Civils Expertise: Solid understanding of excavation, duct installation, and reinstatement (HAUC, SROH)
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with NRSWA (Signing, Lighting, and Guarding) and SSHEQ requirements
Operational Background: Experience managing subcontractors and internal teams in a KPI-driven environment
Commercial Awareness: Ability to manage project expenditure and drive cost control
Certifications & Training: NRSWA Unit 2 (O1): Signing, Lighting, and Guarding (Operative)
NRSWA Unit 10 (S1): Monitoring Signing, Lighting, and Guarding (Supervisor)
