Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Project Cost Analyst to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a critical role in managing billing processes and collaborating closely with project managers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and process detailed billing for multiple engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project-specific requirements
Enter billing transactions and accounts payable data into the system on a daily basis
Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper allocation of costs and effective communication regarding project budgets
Maintain a high level of detail orientation to handle complex billing operations
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries and resolving issues related to project costs
Work independently to identify and address any discrepancies in billing or financial records
Utilize tools such as Excel and Deltek (or similar large systems) to support financial processes efficiently

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting, billing, and financial analysis
Strong understanding of budget processes and cash flow management
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and analysis
Ability to learn and adapt to financial systems such as Deltek or other large-scale tools
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
