This is a 12-month fixed term contract to provide maternity cover within the M&E Division. The Project Co-Ordinator provides essential administrative and financial support to the Projects Business within the M&E Division. Based at Alpine Court, Castleford, the role supports both on-site and off-site project delivery teams. Working closely with Project Managers, Account Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and the Finance team, the postholder will coordinate project documentation, manage purchase orders and invoicing processes, support financial reporting, and ensure accurate tracking of project information from mobilisation through to completion. This role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor external portals and update internal job trackers
Coordinate deliveries, supplies, and goods to project sites
Produce job packs and organise project start-up meetings
Raise Purchase Orders (POs)
Update Sage (quotes and POs)
Raise invoices and supporting documentation
Handle invoice queries and resolve discrepancies
Chase updates and resolve queries relating to WIP, debt, and retention reports
Prepare information for weekly finance meetings with the Management Accountant
Manage schemes within the workstream pipeline
Carry out general administrative duties to support the Projects team
Requirements:
Experience working with invoicing and finance systems (Sage experience advantageous)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Highly organised with the ability to prepare effectively for internal meetings
Self-motivated and proactive
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Good planning and organisational skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
GCSE level in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Relevant administrative, business, or project management qualifications desirable but not essential
