The Project Coordination Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Area Project Manager with the organization, coordination, and administration of construction projects from initial planning through project completion.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative and project coordination support during all phases of construction projects
Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, financial tracking, scope documentation, and contract records
Support the development and management of project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate the preparation of RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and other technical materials required for construction activities
Evaluate project requirements and assist in sourcing subcontractors by requesting bids, reviewing proposals, and helping determine appropriate selections
Monitor project progress by documenting issues, communicating updates to stakeholders, and helping facilitate timely resolution
Review construction drawings, technical plans, and project specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements
Compile detailed material lists and quantity estimates needed for project execution
Work with the purchasing team to procure equipment and materials and coordinate delivery timelines
Ensure required permits and regulatory approvals are obtained prior to project execution
Support the preparation and administration of project change orders and track their impact on scope, schedule, and budget
Maintain records related to project costs, completed work, and stored materials for reporting and billing purposes
Assist with subcontractor payment documentation and approval processes
Organize and maintain digital and physical project records to ensure documentation is accurate and accessible
Collaborate with field supervisors and superintendents to support project timelines and budget targets
Conduct occasional site visits to assist with coordination efforts, progress monitoring, and issue resolution
Participate in project closeout processes, including documentation review and final reporting
Coordinate the setup and connection of required utilities for assigned projects, including applications and scheduling with service providers
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting construction projects in a coordination, administrative, or planning capacity
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field
Current Texas driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
