The Project Coordinator ensures that the projects are co-ordinated and delivered in accordance with the required project outcomes, and in line with business needs, by proactively monitoring progress and reporting metrics internally. The role also involves reporting contractual performance externally, including raising contractual variations, supporting timely invoicing and preparation of price confirmations to external customers. The role requires a high level of engagement with other departments as required, to understand, predict and communicate project outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Measure works in conjunction with other client departments, client and/or subcontractors
Act as internal 'Project Manager' for low complexity internal works
Provide assistance in the compilation of responses to customers ITT's
Liaise with suppliers and customers
Develop, incorporate, monitor and report expenditure against that planned and budgeted for, including variance reporting
Prepare Income Summaries related to monthly site performance to Finance and Management Team
Liaise with relevant personnel on collation of cost information to enable input to planning for production and regular updating of the contract programme
Plan, control and direct relevant personnel regarding cost requirements
Be the focal point for collation of all project associated costs
Work alongside Cost Control, Finance and Procurement
Contribute to the preparation of estimates and programme
Monitor cost performance of sub-contractors and suppliers
Prepare and issue regular cost reports to project management
Maintain and issue for approval client applications for payment - maintaining auditable costs files and records
Upon project completion, effect project close-out in accordance with procedures and project managers requirements
Monitor and control engineering man-hour spend within or below allocated budget and advise management team as to status of spends
Ensure performance (including SHEQ&S) in accordance with the requirements of the company policy and management systems.
Requirements:
Degree in Project Management, Engineering or similar technical/scientific subject, or relevant experience - Essential
Microsoft Excel Proficiency - Essential
Scheduling - MS Project, etc. - Desirable
Working experience of NEC Contracts - Desirable
Relevant experience in managing projects and costs controls- Desirable
APM Introductory Certificate to Project Management - Desirable
All candidates MUST be eligible to work in the UK and be able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
