Job Description

StartupSoft connects top Ukrainian engineers with world-class startups from Silicon Valley and EU. Our developers work directly on the product as an integral part of the startup team. A dynamic wellness tech venture offering innovative tools to support proactive health management. Its primary product is a smart scale equipped with cutting-edge BIA technology, delivering precise data on key body metrics such as fat percentage, lean mass, and hydration. By merging advanced engineering with a seamless digital experience, it empowers users to make informed decisions about their health.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute pre-defined iterations: Convert already-scoped iterations into clear delivery plans. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure execution. Hold teams accountable for timelines and commitments. Identify risks early and escalate in time for action. Do not redirect scope or change priorities set upstream.
  • Be the public face of the vertical: Represent the vertical in all cross-functional meetings and forums. Communicate decisions confidently and take ownership of them. Deliver clear answers (including unpopular ones) without deflection. Ensure stakeholders leave meetings with clarity and confidence in the decisions.
  • Own stakeholder relationships: Maintain ongoing working relationships with all requestors. Ensure stakeholders feel heard and respected, even when requests are declined. Provide clear reasoning behind decisions. Build long-term credibility and trust for future collaboration.
  • Apply the prioritization framework: Use the provided hierarchy matrix consistently across requests. Structure trade-off decisions when competing requests cannot fit into an iteration. Escalate decision packages to the VP of Product when required. Communicate escalated decisions back to stakeholders and take ownership of them publicly.
  • Surface resource constraints: Monitor workload vs. shared resource capacity (engineering, design, data, content). Flag capacity risks early with specific details. Avoid silently absorbing resource shortages or escalating only during crises.
  • Communicate progress upward: Provide honest status updates to the VP of Product: What is on track
  • What is at risk
  • What requires decisions. Avoid presenting unvalidated work as completed success. Avoid framing uncertainty as failure.

Requirements

  • Experience leading delivery for a vertical, product line, or major workstream where: Creative/product direction was set by others. You were publicly accountable for execution and relationships.
  • Comfortable owning and delivering decisions you didn’t make alone. Able to communicate unpopular decisions to senior stakeholders while maintaining trust. Skilled at handling pushback without reopening settled decisions. Strong written communication: Clear meeting notes
  • Status updates
  • Decision memos understandable without meeting context
  • Working understanding of how: Engineering
  • Design
  • Content
  • Teams plan and deliver work. Ability to translate across disciplines without losing meaning. Comfortable with iterative delivery and scope reduction as normal execution strategies.
  • Asks clarifying questions when direction is ambiguous. Verifies assumptions when the stakes are high. Treats relationship management as a core responsibility rather than message passing.
  • Fitness or consumer health environment

Nice to have

  • Experience in: Health or wellness
  • Medical device or regulated-adjacent products
  • Fitness or consumer health environments

What we offer

  • Global collaboration opportunities: Work with top entrepreneurs and startups from Silicon Valley and EU
  • Core team membership: Become an integral part of the core team — be more than someone who just writes code
  • Equity and ownership potential: Potential to receive equity in high-growth startups
  • Premier workspaces: Beautiful offices in the best locations with high-end amenities
  • Competitive compensation package: Above average salary, benefits & medical insurance
  • Cutting-edge technology environment: Only the latest, modern technologies with no legacy code and management bureaucracy
  • Impactful project contributions: Contribute to well-funded products with potential to impact millions
  • Collaborative company culture: Tight-knit team with an inclusive and transparent culture
