At NYAS (National Youth Advocacy Service), our Independent Visitor Service helps children and young people build positive, consistent relationships with trained volunteers who offer support, encouragement and someone to turn to when it matters most. We're looking for a motivated and organised Project Coordinator to help ensure more children and young people can benefit from these life-changing relationships.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the day-to-day coordination and performance of Independent Visitor services
Provide line management, supervision and support to Independent Visitor Coordinators
Support the recruitment, development and retention of volunteers
Champion high standards of safeguarding, quality, compliance and risk management
Monitor service performance, outcomes and budgets
Build strong relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders
Ensure children's voices remain at the heart of service delivery and decision-making
Requirements
Experience coordinating or managing services for children and young people
Experience supervising or supporting employees or volunteers
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practice
Experience of monitoring performance, reporting, and meeting service targets
Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills
Experience working with budgets and financial reporting
Good IT skills, including case management or recording systems
