The Project Coordinator supports the Nuclear PMO team by assisting Project Directors with project execution, financial tracking, operational visibility, risk and schedule coordination, quality documentation, and continuous improvement activities. This role helps ensure projects are well-organized, accurately tracked, and effectively communicated across internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Support Project Directors with day-to-day project coordination, execution tracking, and reporting.
Assist with project financial tracking, including budget monitoring, forecasting support, cost reporting, and variance tracking.
Maintain project documentation, action item logs, meeting minutes, dashboards, and status updates.
Develop and update operations visual management tools to improve transparency of project status, risks, schedule, and quality metrics.
Support risk and issue tracking, including maintaining risk registers and following up on mitigation and action items.
Assist with schedule tracking, milestone monitoring, and coordination of schedule updates.
Support quality-related activities, including lessons learned tracking, documentation control, and process compliance.
Create, track, and help drive closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
Participate in Value Stream Management (VSM) engagement and support continuous improvement efforts across the PMO.
Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure timely communication, issue resolution, and project alignment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field
or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in project coordination, project management support, project controls, operations, or a related role.
Foundational understanding of project management principles, including cost, schedule, risk, and quality.
Experience supporting financial tracking, reporting, or project controls activities.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
Ability to work across functions, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate project records.
Nice to have:
Experience in nuclear, power generation, steam power, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.
Experience with project controls systems (PCS), ERP tools, scheduling tools, or project reporting systems.
Familiarity with NCR processes, quality systems, lessons learned tracking, and corrective action management.
Exposure to Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools.
CAPM, PMP training, or other project management certification/coursework is a plus.
Lean, visual management, or continuous improvement experience is preferred.
