Job Description:

Design Review and Construction Supervision of Hospital Projects – Guyana | Funded by IDB. JFA Group is looking for a Project Coordinator / Deputy Team Leader to support the delivery of Design Review and Construction Supervision services for hospital projects in Guyana. The position will be based in Georgetown, Guyana, with periodic visits to project sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting the Team Leader in the overall management and coordination of the project
  • Supporting the review of design submissions and ensuring compliance with contract requirements
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams (architecture, structural, MEP, etc.)
  • Monitoring project progress, planning, and scheduling activities
  • Supporting contract administration in accordance with FIDIC conditions
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, meeting minutes, and technical documentation
  • Facilitating communication between stakeholders, including the Client, Contractor, and project team
  • Supporting risk identification and mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring proper document control and workflow management

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the construction sector
  • Proven experience in construction supervision and/or design review of large-scale projects, preferably healthcare facilities
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions
  • Experience in planning and project management
  • Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent planning tools)
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
  • Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in international projects or donor-funded projects is an asset

  • Experience in international projects or donor-funded projects is an asset
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are nationals of Guyana, or are nationals of CARICOM member states, or are currently residing in Guyana or the Caribbean region, or are European candidates with relevant international project experience
