The Project Management Team is a team that is focused on the on time delivery of new and existing product development within our Own Brand portfolio. The role of the Project Coordinator is to assist in the planning and data management of projects and timings. You will do this through working collaboratively with the Project Managers and Natural Working Team. In this position, you'll play a crucial role in driving the successful implementation of Fruit & Vegetable initiatives. You will be responsible for facilitating cross-functional collaboration, coordinating project activities, and overseeing the successful launch of BAU, EPD and NPD packaging and innovation. This position acts as a key liaison between the Commercial team and Own Brand stakeholders supporting the execution from concept to launch.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the planning and data management of projects and timings
Play a crucial role in driving the successful implementation of Fruit & Vegetable initiatives
Responsible for facilitating cross-functional collaboration, coordinating project activities, and overseeing the successful launch of BAU, EPD and NPD packaging and innovation
Act as a key liaison between the Commercial team and Own Brand stakeholders supporting the execution from concept to launch
Commercial Support: Planning and mapping projects with the Commercial teams to understand and translate commercial objectives into actionable produce development plans
Prioritisation based on capability, capacity and project type evaluate initial project requests, determine their feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives, and recommend whether or not to proceed as a formal project
Identify and define project requirements, project type and specifications through collaboration with CM, ACM, agronomist, policy, growers, pack houses where relevant, etc
Ensure seasonal timelines are met and effectively capacity planned for
Supplier Liaison: Act alongside the Commercial team as a supplier conduit, facilitating communication and helping suppliers navigate Woolworths Food
Management and tracking of Supplier Self Assessment process
WFCR Project Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between key stakeholders, including Own Brand, Category, Packaging, Technical, Supply Chain, and Marketing
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise produce development and implementation processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness (e.g. generic labels)
Supporting the Project Manager in day to day tasks such as: Updating project timings
Support the facilitation of WIP
Assisting any actions from WIP
Supplier Engagement
Creation of project timelines and reports to suit the needs of the natural working team
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Horticulture, Business) or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of the produce industry, including sourcing, supply chain, and retail operations (benefitial, but not essential)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in produce development, product/project management, or a related field
Proven ability to coordinate projects and meet deadlines, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Expert use of Google Sheets for data analysis will be highly regarded
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in relevant software and systems
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Horticulture, Business) or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of the produce industry, including sourcing, supply chain, and retail operations (benefitial, but not essential)
