Job Responsibility

  • Lead the project controls function across major infrastructure projects in London and the South East
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across planning, cost, safety, environmental, and performance reporting
  • Deploy project controls resources effectively to support programme objectives
  • Establish and maintain robust control processes in line with industry frameworks (e.g., GRIP)
  • Review project proposals and remits to ensure realistic and achievable resource and delivery plans
  • Identify resourcing requirements and collaborate with planning teams to resolve constraints
  • Provide day‑to‑day reporting support to Programme and Project Managers across plans, costs, safety, and performance
  • Ensure data quality and compliance across cost, schedule, and performance systems
  • Manage the production of investment plans and ensure alignment with governance frameworks

Requirements

  • Strong background in project controls within infrastructure sectors such as rail, aviation, utilities, highways, power, or defence
  • Experience in planning and scheduling, including schedule development, analysis, and control
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and start‑up processes
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain high standards of reporting accuracy
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Professional certifications (APM, PMI, or similar) are advantageous
