Job Description

We are looking to engage experienced Planning and Project Controls professionals to support the successful delivery of major aviation and airport infrastructure programmes. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong experience in planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting, risk management, and programme controls within complex aviation environments. Successful candidates will have experience working on large-scale airport, aviation, infrastructure, or capital delivery projects and be confident operating within fast-paced, highly regulated environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across aviation and infrastructure programmes
  • Support project controls functions including planning, cost management, risk, change control, and reporting
  • Produce baseline programmes, progress updates, recovery plans, and performance reports
  • Monitor project progress and analyse schedule and cost performance against key milestones
  • Conduct critical path analysis and identify programme risks and mitigation strategies
  • Support programme governance and reporting requirements for clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with project managers, commercial teams, contractors, and operational stakeholders
  • Ensure minimal operational disruption within live airport or aviation environments
  • Assist with forecasting, earned value analysis, and performance measurement activities
  • Manage programme changes and assess impacts on schedule, cost, and delivery
  • Support planning and controls assurance activities and project audits

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Planning and/or Project Controls roles within the aviation sector
  • Experience on large-scale airport, infrastructure, construction, or capital projects
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles including planning, cost, risk, and reporting
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and/or ASTA Powerproject
  • Experience working within complex stakeholder environments and live operational settings
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of project lifecycle delivery and governance processes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working on major airport programmes, terminal expansions, airside works, baggage systems, or aviation infrastructure upgrades
  • Knowledge of NEC or other standard forms of contract
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and performance reporting techniques
  • Experience using project controls and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
  • Experience in regulated or operationally critical environments
