Job Description:

At AWE, project controls professionals are integral in ensuring we deliver our mission successfully and safely on time. As a degree apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting key areas including cost information, estimates, risk, schedules and plans, statistics, engineering drawings and plans for various projects, while working towards a Bachelor’s Degree.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting key areas including cost information, estimates, risk, schedules and plans, statistics, engineering drawings and plans for various projects
  • Problem solving as part of a team
  • Being part of the full project lifecycle from planning to implementation and results

Requirements:

  • Five GCSE’s at Grade 4/C or above to include Maths and English
  • Three A Levels at grade C or above
  • or T Level Pass (C or above on the core)
  • or BTEC Extended Diploma at MMM
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over, as of 1st April 2026
  • You’ll need to be a British Citizen for security clearance

  • Manage the values of estimate and scope which range in value from £10m to £500m
  • Produce and maintain accurate forecasts in alignment with the Cost Breakdown Structure or Work Breakdown Structure (CBS/WBS)
  • Providing assurance of the maintenance of all project controls data for the Programme/Area within the Project Controls software system
  • Assurance of the delivery of reports to a defined reporting cycle
  • Reviewing and challenging the significant issues that may impact programme objectives
  • Supporting issue and opportunities reviews and workshops
  • Analysis of Estimating data and the connection of this data across the Project
