Project Controller

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and actual costs
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including variance and cost‑to‑complete analyses
• Build and maintain ROI models for CAPEX projects
• Track and reconcile Construction in Progress (CIP) and ensure timely capitalization
• Partner with project managers to align financials with project timelines and deliverables
• Monitor KPIs and project milestones
• Support project proposals through cost estimation and financial modeling
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and accounting standards
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Identify financial risks and provide mitigation recommendations
• Maintain organized project financial documentation

• 3–5 years of experience in project controlling, project accounting, or financial analysis
• Experience in a publicly traded or SOX‑regulated environment (required)
• Strong understanding of percentage‑of‑completion methods (cost‑to‑cost, milestones)
• Experience booking revenue, WIP/CIP, and COGS journal entries
• Proven documentation and controls around revenue recognition
• Ability to influence decisions and collaborate with operations/PMs
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups
• Power Query preferred)
• Experience building SOPs, workflows, or structured financial processes
• Ability to track forecast accuracy and explain improvements
• Skilled at using early‑warning indicators (variance thresholds, exceptions, aging)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• Proficiency with ERP/financial systems (SAP, Made to Manage, or similar)
• Strong communication and analytical skills

Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, PMP) are a plus
