Job Description:

The Project Controller will be vital in preparing reports for assigned projects, interacting with various internal and external parties, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Job Responsibility:

Serve as the main liaison with external stakeholders, including debt investors, equity investors, external auditors, vendors, and consultants
Generate unaudited quarterly and audited annual financial statements for assigned project financings and partnerships
Compile periodic debt service coverage ratio filings for assigned project financings
Maintain detailed trial balances for assigned project financings and partnerships
Conduct analytical reviews of assigned projects’ results and communicate the results to internal management and external stakeholders
Gain a thorough understanding of assigned projects and portfolios by reviewing financing and partnership agreements
Guarantee compliance with debt covenants and any new applicable accounting standards
Respond to ad hoc requests for internal and external parties or special projects as required
Use Accounting Functions, Auditing, External Financial Reports, Financial Reporting, NetSuite, Trial Balance, Prepare Trial Balance, and Ad Hoc Reporting skills to carry out duties effectively

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project controller role or similar position
Proficiency in Accounting Functions, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements
Experience with Auditing procedures and principles
Ability to prepare and present External Financial Reports
Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting and its best practices
Proficiency in using NetSuite software for financial management
Experience with Trial Balance and ability to Prepare Trial Balance sheets accurately
Skilled in Ad Hoc Reporting, with the ability to generate reports as needed
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required
Detail oriented certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
