Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for all purchased parts that apply to a customer project regarding costs, quality and deadlines
  • Support special project sourcing strategies that are a part of new high-dollar, critical components with long-term, preferred suppliers
  • Provides cost and quality wise favorable quotations for required materials out of the NAFTA market
  • Perform cost and value analysis in cooperation with other departments, centers and product teams
  • Investigation of potentials for substitution of material and alternate manufacturing processes
  • Provides support to production in regards to change management coordination of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical improvements
  • Initiates and records cost avoidances during launch timeframe
  • Supports all members of the customer team for purchasing activities
  • Responsible for the issuance of RFQ's prior to SOP as well as engineering changes during this time period. Also, initiates RFQ's and engineering changes during current production
  • Consolidation of proposals and Target-Price-Setting in coordination with the other departments

Requirements

  • 3 years experience in similar position
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Experience in cost breakdown analysis, project management and supply chain management is desirable
  • Strong negotiation skills
