Job Responsibility:
Responsible for all purchased parts that apply to a customer project regarding costs, quality and deadlines
Support special project sourcing strategies that are a part of new high-dollar, critical components with long-term, preferred suppliers
Provides cost and quality wise favorable quotations for required materials out of the NAFTA market
Perform cost and value analysis in cooperation with other departments, centers and product teams
Investigation of potentials for substitution of material and alternate manufacturing processes
Provides support to production in regards to change management coordination of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical improvements
Initiates and records cost avoidances during launch timeframe
Supports all members of the customer team for purchasing activities
Responsible for the issuance of RFQ's prior to SOP as well as engineering changes during this time period. Also, initiates RFQ's and engineering changes during current production
Consolidation of proposals and Target-Price-Setting in coordination with the other departments
Requirements:
3 years experience in similar position
Fluent English is a must
Experience in cost breakdown analysis, project management and supply chain management is desirable
Strong negotiation skills
