Job Description

As a Project Buyer, you represent the procurement function within (customer) projects. You play a key role in supplier selection and ensure that all procurement processes align seamlessly with project objectives. You work closely with project managers, commodity buyers, and Supplier Quality Engineers, and you report hierarchically to the Supply Chain Manager.

Job Responsibility

  • Selecting and approving suppliers based on customer requirements and relevant commodity strategies
  • Negotiating project packages across QLTC dimensions and monitoring the CPR roadmap
  • Developing and executing procurement strategies in collaboration with Commodity Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineers
  • Ensuring timely material availability by placing and following up on project-related purchase orders
  • Optimizing procurement costs in line with the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principle

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level of thinking and working (HBO), preferably in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar procurement role
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset focused on continuous process improvement
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and affinity with ICT tools
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both Dutch and English
