Responsible for all purchased parts that apply to a customer project regarding costs, quality and deadlines
Coordinate changes regarding purchased parts from the acquisition stage through EOP
Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned projects, focusing on high-value, critical components and establishing long-term partnerships with preferred suppliers
Drive the procurement of materials from the NAFTA market, ensuring the most competitive cost and quality outcomes through advanced negotiation and supplier management
Conduct in-depth cost and value analyses in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and product management, to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Proactively investigate and recommend material substitutions and alternative manufacturing processes to optimize cost, quality, and supply chain resilience
Provide expert support to production teams, overseeing change management processes for technical modifications of purchased parts and leading the implementation of cost-effective improvements
Initiate, track, and report cost avoidance measures throughout the product launch phase, ensuring alignment with organizational financial targets
Serve as the primary purchasing contact for all customer team members, offering guidance and support on complex procurement activities
Oversee the issuance and management of RFQs (Requests for Quotation) prior to SOP (Start of Production) and for engineering changes, both during launch and current production phases
Lead the consolidation of supplier proposals and set target prices in close coordination with relevant departments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
Requirements
5-8 years experience in similar position
Fluent English is a must
Experience in cost breakdown analysis, Bill of Materials, Engineering drawing interpretation and Supply Chain Management is desirable
Knowledge and understanding of context in international movement of goods, taxes, etc.
