We are looking for a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives focused on land management and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, efficiently managing multiple tasks while working independently and collaborating with remote teams.
Job Responsibility:
Respond promptly to inquiries and communications related to the program, ensuring all stakeholders receive accurate information
Coordinate and maintain connections with partners and community members to support program goals
Organize and participate in virtual meetings with collaborators, including forestry programs and other organizations
Support field staff by ensuring they have necessary resources, including tree orders and logistical support
Develop and implement action plans to achieve program objectives, including community outreach and engagement
Establish relationships with local organizations such as schools and churches to facilitate tree planting initiatives
Oversee logistics for both in-state and out-of-state partners, ensuring seamless operations
Collaborate with horticultural contractors to guarantee the proper allocation of trees to designated locations
Monitor vendor payments and liaise with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate transactions
Requirements:
Proven ability to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively
Strong organizational skills, including scanning and document management
Experience in project management, preferably within environmental or land management sectors
Demonstrated capability to coordinate logistics for events and programs
Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and community members
Familiarity with event logistics and planning
Ability to build and nurture relationships within the community to support program success
