Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team in New Berlin, Wisconsin. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting project operations, including inventory control, cost estimation, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction projects and a strong ability to manage timelines effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the accurate estimation of costs for construction projects, including material takeoffs, window sizing, and pricing for trim and coil
  • Review paper blueprints and project scopes to ensure precise supply and cost calculations
  • Utilize Excel and other tools to track quotes, measurements, and project expenses
  • Collaborate with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Support warehouse logistics operations to maintain inventory accuracy and optimize workflows
  • Conduct audits and site inspections to ensure safety compliance and adherence to project requirements
  • Coordinate with field staff and installers to streamline project execution and resolve issues
  • Develop strategies to improve operational processes in both retail and manufacturing environments
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to project activities and budgets
  • Provide input on risk management and budgeting strategies to enhance project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, construction project management, or related fields
  • Proficiency in construction estimating, including reading blueprints and performing material takeoffs
  • Strong skills in Excel for data tracking and project cost analysis
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control processes
  • Ability to manage timelines effectively and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety compliance and process improvement
