Join us as a Project Archivist at Bettys and Taylors Group - Our family business is home to three iconic Yorkshire brands – Yorkshire Tea, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced archivist to join Bettys & Taylors Group on a fixed term basis for 18 months. It’s expected that the role will suit someone looking for part time work, 3 or 4 days a week, but we’re also happy to consider full time work for a shorter time frame. Please note that this role is not suitable for remote candidates, as on-site collaboration will be required. The role will suit an archivist with experience of archival rationalisation, cataloguing and collections development. You’ll be responsible for leading on the review and rationalising our existing archive catalogue, including assessment and adjustment of legacy reference systems, as well as developing and implementing practical cataloguing approaches for physical and born-digital archive materials. Reporting into our Archivist, you’ll play a vital role in operationalising our new cataloguing management software and bringing our cataloguing up-to-date while improving consistency, control and ease of retrieval, developing and implementing a programme of digitalisation, and supporting other archival work as required, including research, development of finding aids and heritage collateral.
