Project Administrators work within the permit procurement department that reviews Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for approvals related to building, planning, and zoning, architectural review boards, special uses, and site approvals. They compile permitting due diligence requirements and manage permit submissions to obtain the necessary permits for projects.
Job Responsibility
Utilize departmental structure and intra-departmental procedures in cooperation with other department managers
Provide support in the areas of scheduling, permitting, and due diligence (administrative and technical) to ensure the most efficient execution of assigned projects
Prepare strategic schedules for project programs and individual projects
Determine appropriate due diligence with AHJ in which the project is located
Complete necessary project management reports that can be shared with the project team and the client
Manage the entire permit submission process, including correspondence, submission, responding to corrections, and obtain ready to pick up permit
Maintain internal Permitting Database and provide status updates to the project teams
Perform Office administration tasks and project team assignments
Follow client/firm quality assurance procedures
Perform other designated tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or related field
Five plus years of experience in procurement project management or facilities management
Proficiency of Microsoft Office and project management programs
Experience with project management, code review and analysis, quality control and construction administration
Ability to maintain complex records and to prepare detailed reports of such records
Ability to maintain effective working relations with other employees, the public, vendors, and clients
Ability to be highly organized and have thorough knowledge of the duties, organization, and programs of the company.
