Job Description

This role is integral to supporting project management, operations, and finance leadership by providing comprehensive financial oversight across various projects and business units. The ideal candidate will focus on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in financial reporting while driving profitability and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee monthly financial close activities for projects, including account analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Monitor project costs and compare baselines to actuals, conducting detailed variance analyses to identify and address discrepancies
  • Manage monthly forecasting processes for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals and financial transparency
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Maintain and enhance documentation for internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements
  • Analyze labor costs and workforce productivity, delivering actionable insights to improve efficiency and utilization
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations leaders to strengthen financial discipline and improve cost management practices
  • Partner with the Business Controller and Finance teams on ad hoc reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Advanced coursework in Financial Management, Business Law, or Computer Science is advantageous
  • Certification in relevant areas such as CPA or CMA is preferred
  • Previous experience in project or construction accounting is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar financial systems is required
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, cost management, and financial forecasting
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to project accounting
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
