We are sourcing a dynamic Project Accountant for our client. This unique role blends full-cycle material accounting with hands-on logistics support in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You will be the backbone of the Material Assets and Management Accounting lifecycle—from initial planning to final disposal. When you aren’t managing the books, you’ll be on the front lines providing vital logistics support for project teams.
Job Responsibility:
Handle the full asset lifecycle, including additions, disposals, impairments, and transfers
Manage monthly depreciation, amortization, and inventory reconciliations
Oversee month-end and year-end processes (accruals, adjusting entries, and ledger maintenance)
During active projects, coordinate food services, supply distribution, and facility setup (including sanitation and sleeping quarters) for tactical responders
Develop budgets, financial plans, and innovative tools to improve workflow and justify key business decisions
Act as the primary backup for the Project Team and secondary support for Finance/Accounting
Requirements:
2–4 year degree/diploma in Accounting or a related field
3–5 years in a financial role, ideally within a federally regulated environment
Proficiency in Oracle and Sage
Advanced Excel skills are a must
Experience in Material Accounting within the Medical or Engineering sectors is highly preferred
ICS 100, 200, and 300 certifications
Strong functional Bilingualism (English/French) is required
