Project Accountant

• Coordinate with project managers to confirm milestone completion and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and submit owner draw packages while reviewing disbursements for compliance with financial and contractual regulations
• Track receivables, manage collections, and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure timely cash inflow
• Review aging reports to identify overdue accounts, resolve discrepancies, and implement collection strategies
• Process accounts receivable transactions, including approvals for adjustments or write-offs as needed
• Verify lien waivers, insurance certificates, and other compliance documents for vendors and subcontractors
• Process invoices for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all costs are accurately captured
• Reconcile accounts payable balances to vendor statements promptly after month-end and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with project managers to review timelines, financial milestones, and address any issues
• Ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors while maintaining financial accuracy

• Proven experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry
• Proficiency in Sage 100 and Procore software
• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and processes
• Ability to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable efficiently
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and financial accuracy
• Familiarity with compliance documents such as lien waivers and insurance certificates
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers and external stakeholders
